The museum's pride activities this year will serve as a catalyst for thought and discussion and will personify the resolute force of celebration. The museum will host a roundtable discussion with prominent local LGBTQIA+ individuals, including Mayor Lisa Middleton, Dr. Jonathan Paul Higgins and Monique "Fauxnique" Jenkinson, in keeping with the Palm Springs Pride theme of "Say Gay!" in response to the ongoing attacks on the LGBTQ+ community throughout the United States.

Jacqueline Groag Webinar
This A&D talk is a webinar focusing on Jacqueline Groag, one of the most influential and versatile pattern designers of the post-war era and the focus of our current exhibition, Pattern Play, on view at the Architecture and Design Center. The talk will be a live hybrid event featuring in-person attendance in the theater, as well as the online participation of several Groag experts: Ursula Prokop, author of "Jacques and Jacqueline Groag: Architect and Designer," who will be calling in from Austria; and Geoffrey Rayner and Richard Chamberlin, two of three co-authors of the book "Jacqueline Groag: Textile & Pattern Design: Wiener Werkstätte to American Modern," who will be speaking from the U.K.

Zoo Time Adventures: Fall Fun
Join a day of interactive fun to learn about the world of desert pollinators through song, stories, painting and more at this parent involvement session. You could even get to meet one of the neighborhood pollinators. After the program, attendees will be welcome to wander the zoo on their own. The target audience for this session is parents and their preschoolers (ages 3-4).

The WildLights walkways will lead visitors on an illuminated tour of the zoo filled with countless sights and photo opportunities. Visitors may build and eat s'mores, ride the carousel and get their photo taken with Santa.

Phillip K. Smith III: Light + Change
This assortment of free-standing items, wall-mounted artworks and immersive installations is displayed in four galleries and exemplifies the artist's comprehensive command of his medium. Smith uses a limited vocabulary of pure forms, reflective surfaces and constantly shifting colors to produce captivating perceptual and atmospheric effects. He draws inspiration from aspects of painting, sculpture and architecture.

Andrew Samonsky
Andrew Samonsky made an appearance in the Tony Award-winning "South Pacific" revival on Broadway and was also included in the "Live from Lincoln Center" PBS special. "The Mystery of Edwin Drood" and "Scandalous" are a couple of his previous Broadway performances. He most recently made an appearance on the Come from Away North American tour.
