Every Thursday night from 5-7 p.m. is free admission to the Palm Springs Art Museum, which has a collection of diverse and eclectic art for you to explore.

Always, Patsy Cline

Desert Theatreworks presents this show based on the true story of one wild night in 1961 Houston, when single mom Louise Seger became fast friends with her idol, Ms. Patsy Cline. Louise recreates her evening and correspondence with Patsy, as well as many of the singer’s highlights, in this touching, down-home country musical comedy. Featuring a live band, this rollicking musical tribute includes many of Cline’s unforgettable hits such as “Crazy,” “I Fall to Pieces,” “Sweet Dreams” and “Walkin’ After Midnight.”

Palm Springs Pinot Noir Festival

Hosted in the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort and Spa, one of the world’s most dramatic and awe-inspiring hotels, this is a unique opportunity to engage with some of the top winery owners and winemakers and other leading wine personalities and enthusiasts from all over California. Join with other Pinot aficionados as you share in classes, tastings and food and wine matches that will profile the uncompromising characteristics and unforgettable characters, highlight the different winemaking practices and philosophies that produce wines of such distinction.

The Art of Music - Mo Town

Jam on the Rocks Productions presents this series fusing musical performance with conversation, education, and storytelling from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Old Town Artisan Studios. Each concert will focus on an element of musical theory, history, genre or style by featuring expert musicians to share their craft. Musical guest is The E & J Movement.

Introducing: John Lloyd Young

The Purple Room hosts John Lloyd Young, who delivers a song with an immediacy and originality that makes even long-established hits feel like they're unfolding in front of you for the very first time. In Introducing: John Lloyd Young, Mr. Young celebrates classic hits from the 50s and 60s presented in the authentic acoustic style of original rock 'n' roll, Doo-Wop and R&B standards.

The American Express Golf Tournament

Each January, four days of world-class golf descend on what's known as the Golf Capital of the West for the annual American Express tournament, a favorite stop on the PGA Tour.

The Gardens 24th Annual Concert Series

The Gardens on El Paseo present their 24th annual concert series. Since its inception, this event has raised more than $1 million for those in need. The one-hour concerts take place on Saturdays on the center lawn in front of Saks Fifth Avenue. Entertainment takes the stage at 6 p.m. See Gypsy (a Stevie Nicks cover band) on Jan. 22, with benefits going to Guide Dogs of the Desert, and Music With Finesse (Top 40, Oldies) on Jan. 29, with benefits going to the Junior League.

Oasis Music Festival

The Oasis Music Festival is a three-day all-genre music festival that will take place in Downtown Palm Springs, and bring the famous music scene of Palm Springs back to life. For details, visit oasismusicfestival.com.

Palm Springs Legends

The McCallum Theatre hosts this performance featuring the best tribute artists honoring the most famous stars of the Desert. Sebastian Anzaldo as Frank Sinatra, Andy DiMino as Dean Martin, Vanessa Claire Stewart as Keely Smith, Bill Johnson as Bob Hope, Susan Griffiths as Marilyn Monroe, Lynn Roberts as Jack Benny, Scot Bruce as Elvis Presley, Art Vargas as Bobby Darin, Raymond Michael as Tom Jones, plus the Legends Orchestra.

Legendary comedian Carol Burnett will take the stage at Agua Caliente Resort Casino and Spa in Rancho Mirage.

Palm Springs Health Run and Sports Expo

Enjoy a 1K Fun Run free to kids under 12 or for adults a full 5K for $35 and 10K for $45. Participants will experience the incredibly scenic neighborhoods of Palm Springs in one of the largest events of its kind in Southern California. In addition to the running events, the expo will feature more than 100 health and wellness booths providing giveaways and services, nationally recognized fitness experts, a Rock Climbing Wall, Walk on Water and much, much more.
